07:08:04: It's been a crazy year, especially on a personal level.
Dash30Dash had to take a slight back burner to my own personal
hardships, and with the support of Assistant Editor Michael Overa
I've been able to plow through.
So while, not yet back on a quarterly schedule, Dash30Dash has
made bold new leaps once again. Our News Section goes strong,
several new articles waiting to be proofed and syndicated shortly.
Two plans for Local Gallery Shows in Los Angeles are in the works
and of course the new issue of the Magazine section.
Volume 4 Issue 2 includes an update with previously interviewed
artist Leigh Mackow and features an animated short by Nate Seubert.
Poets Sam Silva and Duane Locke return, as well as two poets new
to Dash30Dash: Maurice Oliver & Jeanne Renee.
Another new advancment on Dash30Dash is the Company Blog. If you're a fan of these introductions to the issue, than come
over to the Blog and see updates from myself (and possibly other
staff members).
I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th, and along those lines
I would like to announce that Dash30Dash, for the first time,
is holding a theme based Call for Submissions. This Fall we will
run a special issue showcasing art and poetry related to the November
Election here in the USA. Click Here For More Info.
It's been six years since Dash30Dash first hit the internet, and
we've always maintained an attitude of keeping the site free.
However, we've reached our storage limits, and without a landslide
of advertising coming to the rescue, we have to make some serious
choices. For the most part the choices are either charge for submission
memberships, or start deleting archives. We rather not do either.
So you can help keep Dash30Dash free and Archived by Donating a small amount of money. Since We're still pretty small, as little
as a ten dollar donation could give us 6 months of service. Please
help keeps us free.
We are still looking for anyone interested in taking the Volunteer
position of Poetry Editor.
All in all, though small this new issue is a great one. I personally
put this issue together and I'm pleasantly surprised how well
it all came out. But nothing excites me as much as the potential
direction things are headed. The future of Dash30Dash is bright
indeed.
Sincerely.
-Samuel Graber
